| PRESIDENT'S MARCH LETTERDear Parents, First, I want to say thank you to everyone who came out last Friday for Bingo Night. Big thanks to Ruth Brown and Neil & Ramona Estes for chairing this event and to all the teachers and staff who volunteered to help out. We couldn't have done it without everyone's support. It was great to see so many families there enjoying the evening and supporting the school. We hope to continue to hold events like this to get the community together. Please make sure to look at the list of donors and Partners in Education listed later in the newsletter and support them in your shopping or activities. March is another busy month at Settles Bridge with many events coming up and planning for many of the end of the year events. Please make sure to look out for emails, flyers, and information that will be coming soon about what's happening over the next month and beyond. Spring Fling is the PTO's largest fundraiser of the year and we have already started working on it. The Spring Fling committee is securing donations to build out the coveted baskets that everyone desires to win. We can't do this without the help of the Room Parents and all of your donations. You should have received an email detailing your child's class contribution to the baskets or cakewalk for Spring Fling. Please send in your donations to give the Room Parents and the Committee enough time to put the baskets together. We can't wait for April 26th!!! We are also preparing for our favorite week of the year when we get to celebrate the Amazing Staff at Settles Bridge. Please join in showing your gratitude and thanks the week of March 25-29 for Staff Appreciation Week. Be on the look out soon for information about this years theme and suggested gifts. It is also the time each year that we meet with the principal to review all grade level grant requests and make plans to purchase as many of the requested items as we can. We are able to do this because of your PTO memberships, donations, and support of our events throughout the year. If you have not joined the PTO yet please consider doing so as your contribution will help us grant more requests. These are items that go directly back into the classroom and benefit the students. In addition to the teacher grants, we are also working with Ms. VonEsh to hopefully help fund the Media Center refresh and continue to purchase more literacy materials from ARC. Thank you again for all your support of the PTO and Staff. We feel lucky to be able to work with such amazing parents, volunteers, and staff. ALL PRO DADAttention DADS AND KIDS!!! All Pro Dads is THIS FRIDAY!! Team up with other dads and kids for a quick, fun meeting over breakfast. You'll take away some great tips and resources to help you be the best dad you can be. THIS MONTH'S TOPIC IS PERSEVERANCE! Everyone is going to face challenges in their life, even our kids. Perseverance is never giving up. It's not being stopped by a bad outcome or difficult task, but always moving forward.
