5th Grade Programs
This year will be full of lots of changes and exciting times for your 5th grader. Your child(ren) will have an opportunity to attend some awesome events throughout the school year that are put together with the help of the PTO and 5th grade room parents. Our goal is to create lasting memories for our 5th graders. If you have any questions about the 5th grade, please contact Chenin Kemmerlin (email@example.com).
5th Grade is 100% responsible for raising funds to support their specific planned activities throughout the year. Here is our list of fundraisers:
- 5th Grade Class Shirts
- Family Movie Night
- 5th Grade Social - PERMISSION SLIP
The money raised is spent on the following additional activities.
- 5th Grade Graduation decor
- 5th Grade Picnic
We also help to coordinate the Yearbook Ads for our graduating 5th graders. Ads are for sale only in the first half of the year and are subject to content review based on school guidelines.
We begin our year with the sale of our 5th Grade T-shirt. The design changes each year and is unique to the 5th grade class and students usually like to wear their shirts to the various fifth grade events. Proceeds from the T-shirt sales go towards fifth grade activities.
The 5th Graders hosted a movie night on Friday, November 3, 2017 for the entire SBE community. The movie shown was "The Secret Life of Pets." Proceeds went towards the fifth grade. Our Stars and their families enjoyed a movie together on the from lawn of the school.
5th Grade Social
What is better than making memories with your best friends in your last year of Elementary school? That is what the 5th Grade Social is all about. One Friday after school on Dec 15th, the fifth graders will get to stay after and have the cafeteria transformed into an amazing hang out – where everyone can dance, mingle and just have fun! Proceeds from this event go towards the 5th grade picnic at the end of the school year. Be sure you have completed the Permission Slip for attendance.
Fifth Grade Picnic
The fifth grade gets to celebrate one last fun-filled lunch together – a picnic on the SBE lawn on the last day of school. Teachers and students will be treated to lunch provided by the monies raised in the either year’s fundraisers.
5th graders will have there time to shine as they get to walk across stage. The graduation will be held in the Riverwatch Middle School Gymnasium. Depending on the number of graduates each year, this celebration generally lasts around 2 hours.
5th Grade Tennessee Field Trip
The school coordinates a day excursion to Chattanooga, TN. The PTO is not involved in the planning or scheduling of this event.
Yearbook Recognition Ad
Yearbook recognition ads are a great way for parents, family and friends to commemorate student achievements and important milestones.
